Guards Armoured - Crusader AA

Hi All

back again with another little unit I’ve been working on.
The Crusader AA I think is one of the coolest little vehicle around, I’ve not had much to do with crusaders before other than stealing a few turrets for my Staghound 3’s – though I’ve seen Alex’s.
This unit I’ve only seen in the overlord books, and it seems that Normandy was about the only time it ever got an outing. It’s got a few things going for it which I like, firstly mobility, it’s able to get around pretty easily and can provide support to cromwells and shermans easily. And secondly, it’s dirt cheap and AA, easily able to help bulk up and army to even platoons and also deal with any pesky aircraft which are marauding around town.
Not much else to say on these chaps other than I’ll have to try them out.

Till next time.

  1. Nice looking platoon. I really like those open fire tank commanders. Good points on their usage. Always nice to have some more machine gun fire in a tank company and another way to deal with aircraft.

  2. Nice looking vehicles,2 minor points they would have the same AoS number as the rest of the Armoured Regiment, they would have a diamond sign as they were part of the RHQ.

  3. Thanks for that info, I'd read that SPAA was 73 though. I may well hunt down the diamonds though
