US Jeep Recon

Hello All

The last but one platoon for Colours 2013 painting challenge. Maybe not the most interesting of all the units but a Jeep recon platoon is quite important from an army performance point of view.
Sorry again for the lack of terrain with the pictures but my terrain is with Alex packed and ready for Colours as I'm providing a table of terrain.
Jeeps are one of my favourite units in the US army mainly as the look so cool! These bad boys are fully upgraded with .50 cals so they can be a back up shooting unit. The idea being when the army is on the attack the jeeps go out and stop ambushes. They can then position themselves to either lift gone to ground and if any supporting enemy infantry units try to move over to stop my attack the jeeps can move over and shot them to pieces.
So not much more to say on these guys, so I'll let the last picture do the speaking for me.
So just the second infantry platoon to do and then I'm finished!

Thanks for reading and until next time

Ben

How long (hours) does it take you to paint an infantry platoon?

  3. I just recently ordered some jeeps myself, to go along with an armored artillery battery. Yours will be nice to look at when painting mine.

  5. Thanks Guys, I do love jeeps too, so iconic.

@Cameron- Not sure on whole time as I base a few platoons and paint the bases and base coat the models brown in one go. After that I think it takes about 3 to 4 hours to paint the whole platoon.
