Ben here with my latest platoon painted up for my Market Garden US Para Army. This platoon was made with the Sherman Armoured Platoon Box BBX08, plus an extra Firefly blister to get the second Firefly. I went for the box set as I had a lot of trouble with putting the Battlefront plastic together and I thought the individual sculpted hulls looked very nice.
I was a little apprehensive about painting this platoon as all the previous British armour I had painted I had used the Battlefront British Armoured Spray which I have been unable to get a second one. I do think with a little work I have got a pretty good match with the normal Vallejo paints.
Easy Army says:-
Arsenal |
Tank Teams |
Name | Mobility | Front | Side | Top | Equipment and Notes
Weapon | Range | ROF | Anti-tank | Firepower
Firefly VC (late) | Standard Tank | 6 | 4 | 1 | Co-ax MG, Tow hook.
OQF 17 pdr gun | 32"/80cm | 2 | 15 | 3+ | No HE, Semi-indirect fire.
Sherman V | Standard Tank | 6 | 4 | 1 | Co-ax MG, Hull MG, Tow hook.
M3 75mm gun | 32"/80cm | 2 | 10 | 3+ | Semi-indirect fire, Smoke. |
This platoon leaves me with 2 more platoons to paint to round out my 1750pts list, with Artillery and a second infantry platoon to go. Which I hope to have finished very soon.
Well thanks for looking and until next time
Ben

ReplyDeleteNice work Ben!
ReplyDeleteNice work as always Ben. I agree, they are much nicer looking. It would take a long time and a lot of patience to get the Open Fire Shermans looking as good!
